Vacciguard Novel Vaccines

VacciGuard is developing a peptide-based conjugated vaccine by combining its HSP-60 derived carrier peptide with an WNV envelope peptide.

Prof. Bracha Rager and Prof. Angel Progador from the Ben-Gurion University  in Israel have identified a novel, continuous B cell epitope from domain III of the virus envelope protein (Ep15). Our results show that chimeric peptide, composed of an HSP60-derived carrier peptide and a WNV-Ep15 (P32), protected mice almost completely from challenge by WNV (5,000-10,000 Pfu).
